Former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has said he remains friends with his old boss Liz Truss, despite her sacking him over the economic fallout caused by his mini-budget last October.
Reflecting on that moment, he told Cathy Newman on Channel 4 News “I don’t think she reacted in a particularly calm way.” And asked whether he forgave his former boss, Mr Kwarteng replied: “I’m not angry, I try not to be angry, I try not to be bitter, I think we’ve just got to move forward.” Report by Buseld.
