In a tragic development, Sgt.
Omer Ginzburg, 19, from the Paratroopers Brigade’s 101st Battalion, was killed on August 11, 2024, during intense fighting in the southern Gaza Strip.
Ginzburg, a resident of Kiryat Tivon, fell victim to a Hamas-claimed Sniper attack in Khan Younis, a city that has recently seen heavy IDF operations.
Ginzburg’s death marks a sombre milestone, bringing the total Israeli casualties in the ongoing conflict with Hamas to 332.
This toll includes those killed in both Gaza and along the border.
The IDF has been actively targeting Hamas positions in Khan Younis after issuing evacuation orders to civilians in the area, aiming to mitigate harm while conducting military operations.
