In a recent update on the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence on April 14, the Mumbai Crime Branch has extended its investigation to Surat in search of the firearm used by the accused. During interrogation, the suspects disclosed discarding the weapon in the Tapi River after the crime. The assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, discharged four rounds outside Galaxy Apartments, Khan's residence, at 5 am before fleeing. CCTV footage revealed the suspects wearing caps and carrying backpacks. Expanding the probe, the Mumbai Crime Branch has added three new sections to the FIR against the accused, including IPC 506(2) (threatening), 115 (abetment), and 201 (tampering with evidence). Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi are now wanted in connection with the case.
