In Charlottesville trial, jurors learn to decode the secret slang of white supremacists

In the trial against organizers of the deadly Unite the Right rally in 2017, plaintiffs' attorneys are parsing for jurors — so they understand the evidence presented — the lingo of white supremacists and the ways they cloak their calls for violence in humor in an effort to render them legally ambiguous.
