Gujarat's Naroda Gam order cites unreliable testimonies, 'one-sided' SIT probe

The special SIT court has acquitted all accused persons, including former minister Maya Kodnani, in the 2002 Naroda Gam massacre with the observation that witnesses' testimonies revealed heavy contradictions and were not reliable and that the SIT conducted a "one-sided investigation". In her 1,728-page judgement order released on Tuesday, special judge S K Baxi has stated that the SIT conducted a "one-sided investigation" and it seems to have been carried out with a "preconceived notion".
