Concerned over departure of Canadian diplomats from India: US State Department

The United States has expressed concern over the departure of Canadian diplomats from India and called on New Delhi to uphold its obligations under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Canada withdrew 41 diplomats from India after the Indian government threatened to strip them of their diplomatic immunity. The US State Department spokesperson urged India to not insist on reducing Canada's diplomatic presence and to cooperate in the ongoing Canadian investigation.
