Mahua Moitra writes to Lok Sabha Speaker on attacks on iPhones

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, informing him about alerts received by opposition leaders regarding "state-sponsored" attacks on their iPhones. Moitra called the surveillance by the government a violation of fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution and urged Birla to provide protection to opposition leaders. She mentioned the use of Pegasus software in compromising the devices of opposition members, journalists, and civil society members. Moitra also cited international organizations confirming the validity of Apple's threat notifications.
