PM Modi, Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina jointly launch key infra and rail link projects

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have inaugurated key energy and connectivity projects, including a cross-border rail link between northeast India and Bangladesh. Modi described the inauguration of the rail project as a "historic" moment and highlighted the strong bond of friendship and collaboration between the two countries. The other projects inaugurated include a rail line and a power plant in Bangladesh. India has provided grant assistance of Rs 392.5 crore for the rail link.
