For Diwali this year, Israel envoy requests Indians to 'light a diya' for hostages held by Hamas

Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has called on Indians to light a 'Diya of Hope' for the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas. Gilon condemned Hamas for the recent assault and stated that eliminating the group would decrease the chances of a ripple effect. He emphasized how Hamas used civilians as human shields and infiltrated Israeli communities, resulting in the deaths of 1,400 people. Gilon also commented on the division in the world as a result of the ongoing conflict and highlighted the recovered weapons from Hamas terrorists.
