Kerala governor OKs 1 Bill, reserves 7 for President nod

Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan referred to President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday seven of the eight bills pending assent for up to three years, but cleared the remaining one - the Public Health Bill 2021 - a day before the Supreme Court takes up the state government's writ petition against the prolonged status quo. At an earlier hearing, the apex court had directed Khan to read its ruling on a similar petition filed by the Punjab government against that state's governor.
