Turkey: Air, transit passengers sum 30M in 2021

(MENAFN)According to Turkey�s airport authority, amount of air passengers in the country, as well as transit passengers summed 30 million in January-May of 2021. The General Directorate of the State Airports Authority (DHMI) data reported that Turkey�s airports worked a sum of 18.4 million domestic and 11 million international passengers in the January-May time of span. The DHMI numbers showed that airports in Turkey worked 467,160 planes with over flights. While, air cargo traffic stood at nearly 1 million tons. The top most crowded airports, Istanbul Airport and Ataturk Airport, of which in Turkey�s largest metropolitan city, summed 19,808 aircraft in the same time of span.
