In recent times, the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area administration has been actively promoting a Muslim-friendly environment within the tourism zone. They have been providing guidance to businesses to obtain Muslim certifications. While enhancing the tourism environment, they also aim to capture the attention of travelers from Singapore and Malaysia through the promotional event, envisioning Pingtung county as the next sought-after travel destination.

The promotional event was co-hosted by the Pingtung Tourism Union, and Jhou, Shihbi Director of the Kuala Lumpur Office of the Tourism Bureau. Dignitaries present at the event included President Bao, Yi-Syong of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, General Manager Tang, Chong-Jian of China Airlines, General Manager Zen, Shih-Jie of EVA Air, and General Manager Syu Jian-Wen of STARLUX Airlines. President Bao, Yee Heng of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association has a long-standing partnership with Pingtung's tourism businesses. Chairwoman Jheng, Yi-fang of the Pingtung Tourism Association expressed that Malaysia is a vital tourism market for Pingtung. To further increase visitor numbers, addressing transportation is a key issue. She hopes to add more flights that stop in Kaohsiung, facilitating quicker access to Pingtung for international tourists.

This attracted enthusiastic inquiries from travel agency professionals, seeking more detailed information. More than 60 Malaysian travel industry representatives and media attended the event, engaging in active discussions with Pingtung businesses. This robust interaction reflects the anticipation of new travel markets among Malaysian and Singaporean businesses in the post-pandemic era.
