Aki Kikinomakaywin 'learning on the land' camp in Thunder Bay gets Indigenous youth excited about science

For 17 Indigenous youth from different parts of northern Ontario, Aki Kikinomakaywin — Ojibway for "learning on the land" — was front and centre at a special camp at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. The program, which just completed its second year, encourages interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) and pursuing post-secondary school.
