Tropical Storm Franklin strengthens into a hurricane: NHC

The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported in its most recent advisory on Friday that Tropical Storm Franklin, which is situated approximately 1,110 kilometers (690 miles) south of Bermuda, had grown stronger. The Miami-based forecaster warned that Franklin is expected to considerably strengthen over the following two days and that it will likely become a hurricane by early next week.
