Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan submitted the bill ratifying Sweden's membership to parliament, a move that has been delayed for months. Blinken stated that there was a shared commitment between Ankara and Washington to ensure Sweden's inclusion in the alliance. Sweden and Finland applied to join Nato last year for security reasons following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
