According to a mayor in the state of Tennessee, the death toll from wildfires earlier this week has increased to 10. On Thursday afternoon, Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters said that authorities had discovered three additional deaths following the seven that were already reported. Waters did not release any additional details about the fatalities and said that authorities are working to identify the remains. He then added that the number of injured due to the wildfires has increased to about 75 people. On Monday, Hurricane-force winds fueled wildfires in the state, forcing over 14,000 residents and tourists to evacuate the city of Gatlinburg.
