Walt Disney Pictures' record-breaking year now includes their latest animated feature "Moana," which was released in theaters over the Thanksgiving holiday. The musical film easily topped the charts in its first weekend, raking in $82 million over the five-day frame. In 2013, Disney's mega-hit "Frozen" was also released over Thanksgiving, and that film ended up grossing $400.7 million in the U.S., finishing in third for the year. However, "Star Wars: Rogue One" coming out later this month is projected to make at least $130 million in its opening weekend, which will likely hamper "Moana" from making as much as "Frozen" did.
