News video: China Censors Iconic Children's Character

Any mention of the iconic children's book character, Winnie the Pooh, has been blocked on social media sites in China after comparisons were made comparing president Xi Jinping to the lovable bear.

Over the weekend, gif images of Pooh and even his friends were removed from the popular messaging app WeChat as well as other Chinese social media sites.

The government, which has tightened its grip on censorship recently, is attempting to prevent ridicule of its leader and is also trying to stop Pooh from becoming a go-to symbol for anything beyond a chubby, iconic children’s character..
