charlottesville, virginia. new at 11... here locally... a group of the violence in charlottesville inspired a group to come together in fresno. the purpose... to get rid of hatred. cbs 47's dennis valera is pulling double duty, and attended the vigil earlier this evening. words of encourage ment...among signs filled with calls to action. dozens of people gathered in woodward park's art of life healing garden... to do healing of their own after seeing news of what happened in charlottes ville. central valley indivisible organized the last second vigil. to show fresno doesn't stand for any kind of hatred. natasha moiseyev/central valley indivisible "this didn't happen here, but hate happens here. and we are not going to tolerate it." elisa rivera says she and her family to show solidarity with the victims. she brought her kids...because she wants her kids kept in the loop. so they can be agents of change later on. elisa rivera/attendee "my kids need to be aware of what's going on and if things are going to change it's going to happen with our children." moving forward... especially in light of today... the group will continue to show their communities they'll be there with them. natasha moiseyev/central valley indivisible "we will rally for a kind of protective space to make sure every american is treated with the respect and dignity that they're entitled to." dennis valera, cbs 47 eyewitness
