Duration: 00:44s - Published: < > Embed
News video: U.S. Air Force Takes On Swarms of Mosquitoes in TexasThe U.S. Air Force has conducted aerial spraying to combat mosquitoes who have swarmed Texas after Hurricane Harvey. Rain and flooding left behind by the hurricane created large areas where mosquitoes can lay their eggs. Modified C-130 cargo planes sprayed over 600,000 acres, mostly outside of the City of Houston. The Air Force says the goal is to reduce the effects mosquitoes are having on recovery efforts. As well as the possibility of a future increase in mosquito-borne disease.
