A US Coast Guard helicopter transported a 21-year-old man from a fishing vessel 260 miles north of Cold Bay, Alaska, after the man was struck on the head by a 37-pound block of frozen fish on November 8.

The man was taken to St Paul for medical treatment, the Coast Guard said.

He was later transported to Anchorage, Alaska, for further care, according to local reports. Credit: DVIDS/U.S. Coast Guard District 17 via Storyful.
