Scientists want protection for mysterious Weddell Sea

Long near-impenetrable to human exploration, the remote Weddell Sea is - for now at least - much cooler than the rest of Antarctica.

Its inaccessibility and climate mean conservationists have been calling for years to turn it into what would be the largest marine protected area on earth, but so far countries have failed to agree.
