As heavily armed Russian mercenaries advancing to Moscow began turning back on Saturday (June 24), British military general Richard Barrons said the decision by Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin to advance on Moscow did not appear to be thought-out, but was, nonetheless, a "shock" to the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which had worked closely with the Wagner Group for years.
