Once more, astronauts on board the International Space Station used an effervescent tablet to disintegrate a floating ball of water while taking pictures with a camera that has a recording resolution four times higher than a standard high-definition camera.

When employed in science investigations, the better resolution photos and videos can disclose more information, providing researchers on board the space station with an important new tool.

One of the pioneering pieces of footage is this one.

The cameras are being examined by experts at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, for gathering scientific data and vehicle operations.
