The south-east Asian island country of Indonesia has been hit by an earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale.
No tsunami warning has been issued for the quake -- initially reported as a magnitude 6.9 -- which hit at 11:53 am local time, according to the United States Geological Survey.
