Netanyahu vows 'no place in Gaza' Israel 'won't reach'

On a visit to an Israeli army base in Zikim, near the border with Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warns that there is no safe place for the Hamas militants and "no place" in the Palestinian territory that the army wouldn't reach.

Israel has vowed to destroy Hamas in response to its attacks on 7 October, which killed an estimated 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and saw 240 hostages taken to Gaza.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says Israel's ensuing aerial bombardment and ground offensive have killed more than 11,00 people, mostly civilians, including thousands of children.
