Caution: normally, somewhat less than half of a tea-spoon a day (English, American) of baking-soda is permitted which may be absolved in water (or coffee, tea).
It balances out alcaline (in baking-soda) with sour.
If you loose too much alcaline because of consuming too much of some food and drinks (mainly coffee, white flour products) the alcaline decreases, which causes an imbalance of alcaline and sour, causing cancer.
Radiation causes too much loss of alcaline, so who undergoes radiation, should increase alcaline intake to balance out alcaline and sour in order to prevent further problems.
