A separate U.S. Army program to test a new Large Penetrator Smart Fuse for the newest bunker buster bomb has been on hold because of contract challenges that affected the ability to construct practice targets to evaluate the improvement.
It costs in excess of $20 million to outfit a test bunker to measure the effectiveness of the bomb.
