6th accused in Parliament security breach in 7-day police custody

A Delhi court on Saturday sent the sixth accused in the Parliament security breach case, Mahesh Kumawat, to seven-day police custody. The prosecution submitted before the court of additional sessions judge Hardeep Kaur that the conspiracy was planned over a period of two years and the conspirators wanted to create the situation of anarchy in the country to "get their illegal demands met". Additional public prosecutor (APP) Akhand Pratap Singh, while seeking 15 days' custody of Kumawat, also told the court that he (Kumawat) was working with mastermind Lalit Jha in aiding him in destroying evidence.
