How One News Page works

One News Page brings together reporting from multiple publishers to help readers understand what is happening, how coverage connects and what has materially changed. Automated and AI-assisted systems support this work, while sources remain visible and public output is governed by evidence, validation and publication safeguards.

Sources and attribution

Sources remain visible

One News Page brings together reporting from established news publishers and other relevant sources. Publisher reports remain attributed and linked so readers can inspect the underlying coverage directly.

When several reports concern the same story, One News Page may group them into a shared coverage view. The presence of several sources does not by itself mean that an event has changed.

Summaries and intelligence

Connecting the reporting

One News Page creates concise summaries and connects related reporting to help readers understand the wider story. For continuing events, Event Intelligence may show where an event currently stands and what has materially changed.

These intelligence features are grounded in identifiable source reporting and are shown only when the available evidence meets One News Page’s publication requirements.

Automation and AI

How automation is used

Automated and AI-assisted systems help One News Page collect and organise coverage, identify related reports, create concise summaries and assist with news intelligence.

Automation does not replace source attribution or publication safeguards. Application-controlled checks govern identity, evidence, validation and what is eligible to appear publicly. Where reliable intelligence is not available, One News Page may simply omit that enhancement.

Editorial synthesis

Global Briefing

The Global Briefing is One News Page’s twice-daily synthesis of important developments across the news agenda. Each edition is generated from accepted source material and checked against its supporting evidence before publication.

The audio edition is derived from the accepted written briefing and is subject to additional verification before it is made public. More detail is available in the Global Briefing methodology.

Accountability

Corrections and feedback

If One News Page’s own summary or intelligence contains a material error, we aim to correct it promptly once verified.

Where an attributed publisher changes or corrects its own reporting, One News Page may update the relevant coverage as that change enters the source material available to the service.

Readers can report a possible error through our Contact page.
