Christa Pike Conscious After Botched Tennessee Execution

Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike regained consciousness after a botched execution and remains hospitalized in critical condition, her lawyers said. A Nashville judge ordered state officials to preserve evidence from the failed execution. Pike, 50, is reportedly angry, confused, unable to move either arm and unable to eat because she cannot swallow; she also has pneumonia.
