Deadly Floods Strike Nepal-Tibet Border
Deadly flash floods hit the Nepal-Tibet border, sweeping away villages, houses, roads and bridges. Scientists say a rock landslide and glacial collapse likely caused the flooding. Reported death tolls range from at least 95 to at least 270, while missing-person estimates range from around 1,300 to at least 1,500, including many foreign tourists and at least 33 British nationals. Rescue searches are ongoing.
