Bendy Elm Crowned UK Tree of the Year

A 150-year-old wych elm in Newcastle, County Down, known as the Bendy Tree, has been crowned UK Tree of the Year. It is the first time a tree in Northern Ireland has won the national title since the competition began in 2014. The tree grew sideways due to strong winds.
