NYTimes – World German authorities are investigating a deadly car-ramming near Berlin’s Pride festival as an Islamist terrorist attack. The suspect, identified as Abdul Ballout, 21, allegedly drove into a crowd on Saturday night, killing one person and injuring at least 16. Police shot and killed him during a raid on Sunday evening after a daylong manhunt. Officials said he had tried to join ISIS and had been released from detention in May. Chancellor Friedrich Merz called for tighter terrorism monitoring, while Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt described the assault as Islamist terrorism.
