Algeria Wildfire Death Penalty Push

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said he is seeking the death penalty for arsonists after wildfires killed 12 people and injured dozens. Algeria declared three days of mourning, with authorities reporting 46 fires still active and 54 people hospitalised, six critically. Tebboune said he is not ruling out foul play after 100 wildfires were recorded.
