Bootle Lithium-Ion Battery Fire

A house fire in Bootle, Merseyside, killed Elisha Brabin, 36, and three of her children. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was caused by a lithium-ion battery, of a type commonly used in vapes, e-bikes and e-scooters, after an electrical event. The fire service highlighted the risks such batteries can pose.
