CBO Puts Iran War Cost at $38 Billion

The Congressional Budget Office estimates the U.S.-Iran war has directly cost the United States about $38 billion between Feb. 28 and Aug. 1, and could cost $2 billion to $3 billion more per month while it continues. The nonpartisan office said its analysis was limited because the Defense Department did not respond to requests for cost information.
