Dolly Parton dies aged 80
Country music star, actor and philanthropist Dolly Parton has died aged 80, her nephew Brian Seaver announced on Instagram. Known for hits including I Will Always Love You, Jolene and 9 to 5, Parton was also a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, theme park owner and major donor to causes including child literacy and Covid-19 vaccine development. Celebrity tributes have been paid by figures including Lily Tomlin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bernie Sanders and Kacey Musgraves.
