De Nederlandsche Bank moved 86 tonnes of gold reserves from the US and Canada to London, citing increasing geopolitical unrest. The bank said reserves held in London could be traded more easily and would allow faster response in a crisis. The Netherlands is the second European nation this year to announce reduced US gold holdings.
