Earl Spencer book row

Earl Spencer has defended his claim that King Charles told him Diana, Princess of Wales, would be forgotten "soon enough" days after her 1997 death. In extracts from his upcoming memoir, Diana's brother also said Charles sounded "giddily elated" in a phone call after the crash. Buckingham Palace has pushed back, saying grief can "colour memory".
