Harvard Agrees to $53 Million Morgue Settlement

Harvard University has agreed to pay $53 million to settle lawsuits by families who alleged Harvard Medical School mishandled donated remains of loved ones after a former morgue manager sold body parts. A Boston state court judge gave preliminary approval to the settlement on Tuesday, and Harvard said distributing funds is expected to take several months.
