The Hawk Fire near Reno, Nevada, grew rapidly and forced thousands of residents to evacuate. The fire, which began Saturday, expanded to more than 13,000 acres amid strong winds, low humidity and dry vegetation, and approached the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
