Former Disney CEO Bob Iger and investor Josh Kushner are purchasing the Los Angeles Lakers for more than $12.5 billion in a record-breaking deal, ESPN reported, citing sources. NPR's Michel Martin discussed the sale with The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov. Billionaire Mark Walter bought the team last year for $10 billion.
