Iran says Strait of Hormuz will stay closed until US meets its conditions

Iran says the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States changes its behaviour and accepts Tehran's conditions to end the war. A newly appointed secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council reaffirmed the stance on Tuesday, while an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said talks with Oman on shipping routes were separate from full reopening discussions. US President Donald Trump responded by instructing his representatives to demand compensation from Iran.
