Joshua Wong Guilty Plea

Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Joshua Wong pleaded guilty to a national security charge of colluding with foreign interests. He is accused of urging foreign powers, including Western politicians Nancy Pelosi and Marco Rubio, to impose sanctions and other hostile measures against Hong Kong and China. Wong, 29, is already serving prison time for a separate case and could face a minimum of three years to life imprisonment for this second offence under Beijing's 2020 national security law.
