Bryan Kohberger seeks to withdraw guilty plea in Idaho student murders

Bryan Kohberger, sentenced to multiple life terms for the 2022 killings of four University of Idaho students, has filed a petition to withdraw his guilty plea and seek a new trial. He claims he pleaded guilty because of bad legal advice, false promises and wrong information. The filing was made Monday, July 27, 2026.
