Mall Collapse Traps Many After 6.8-Magnitude Japan Earthquake

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Kumamoto in southwestern Japan, damaging a shopping mall and trapping many people inside, officials said. Emergency workers were searching for survivors and fighting fires. At least 50 people were injured and about 40,000 homes lost power.
