Alexandrova retires from Memphis Classic after heat collapse

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova, the world number 19 and top seed at the Memphis Classic, collapsed on court and retired from her first-round match against Kristina Liutova due to heat-related illness amid temperatures of about 34C. Venus Williams and Katie Boulter also lost their matches in Washington.
