Paul Mackenzie cult murder conviction

A Kenyan court has convicted self-proclaimed pastor Paul Mackenzie of 191 murders—190 children and one adult—for leading a starvation cult. Mackenzie, who ran the Good News International Church, was accused of ordering followers to starve themselves and their children to death. His wife Rhoda Maweu and about 29 co-accused were also found guilty. Mackenzie had denied ordering the victims to starve in order to "meet Jesus."
