Alaska governor probes Peltola campaign over same-name candidate

Republican Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy ordered an investigation into Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola's campaign following a report that people aligned with it helped recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan, the same name as Republican incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan. Peltola denied the allegations. Former President Donald Trump said Peltola "shouldn't be allowed to run" because of the controversy.
